Why Tessa
I spent more than a decade in transportation and logistics, working my way through operations, customer success, executive leadership, and business strategy. Along the way, I had the opportunity to see this industry from every angle. I worked with customers, carriers, account managers, operations teams, and executives, which gave me a firsthand look at what makes a brokerage successful and where even good companies begin to struggle as they grow.
What I realized is that it usually isn't because people stop caring. It's because the traditional growth model almost forces it. As brokerages scale, people are expected to manage more customers, more carriers, and more freight. Relationships become harder to maintain, communication becomes more reactive, and customers and carriers slowly become numbers instead of people. Nobody intends for it to happen, but it's the direction the industry naturally drifts.
That's why I started Tessa Logistics. I didn't start this company because I thought I could reinvent freight. I started it because I believe you can build a brokerage that grows without losing the things that matter most, including responsiveness, accountability, and genuine relationships. Tessa Logistics is a new company, and I'm proud to say that. But while the company is new, the experience behind it isn't. Every process we've built, every carrier standard we've established, and every piece of technology we've invested in comes from more than ten years of learning what works, what doesn't, and where opportunities are missed.
My goal isn't to become the biggest brokerage. It's to become the brokerage that customers and carriers actually enjoy working with because they know they'll receive honest communication, dependable service, and personal attention every time. That's the company I'm building from day one.
